چکیده
This paper presents an adaptive wide-area control strategy based on energy function. The proposed method enhances the post-fault oscillation damping capability of Static Var Compensators (SVC) by incorporating load dynamics in controller design that adapts to variations. are obtained using Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) through power and voltage data measurements, which used estimate a Moving Average (MA) dynamic model. model is then integrated into obtain required SVC supplementary action modulates response disturbance inter-area employing nonlinear Kalman filter PMU measurements. performance evaluated simplified 14 generator southeast Australian system composite models comprised induction motor loads various sizes combinations. results show significant improvements stability when applied.

Wide Area Control through Aggregation of Power Systems
The power systems are operating closer to their capacity limits to improve the efficiency of the system operation. This has increased the risk of system failures in the event of possible contingencies. The electricity supply industries need tools for dealing with system-wide disturbances that can cause widespread blackouts in power networks. When a major disturbance occurs in the system, the pr...
متن کاملA New Class of Decentralized Interaction Estimators for Load Frequency Control in Multi-Area Power Systems
Load Frequency Control (LFC) has received considerable attention during last decades. This paper proposes a new method for designing decentralized interaction estimators for interconnected large-scale systems and utilizes it to multi-area power systems. For each local area, a local estimator is designed to estimate the interactions of this area using only the local output measurements. In fact,...
متن کاملWide-Area Adaptive Load Shedding Control to Counteract Voltage Instability
A two-level adaptive load shedding scheme against voltage instability is proposed, adjusting its actions to the severity of the situation. The lower level includes a set of distributed controllers which curtail loads once the voltages at monitored transmission buses fall and stay for some time below threshold values. The adaptive nature of the proposed scheme comes from the upper level adjustin...
متن کاملAdaptive Fuzzy Dynamic Sliding Mode Control of Nonlinear Systems
Two phenomena can produce chattering: switching of input control signal and the large amplitude of this switching (switching gain). To remove the switching of input control signal, dynamic sliding mode control (DSMC) is used. In DSMC switching is removed due to the integrator which is placed before the plant. However, in DSMC the augmented system (system plus the integrator) is one dimension bi...
متن کاملLoad Frequency Control of Multiple-area Power Systems
In an interconnected power system, as a power load demand varies randomly, both area frequency and tie-line power interchange also vary. The objectives of load frequency control (LFC) are to minimize the transient deviations in theses variables (area frequency and tie-line power interchange) and to ensure their steady state errors to be zeros. When dealing with the LFC problem of power systems,...
